Historic Pullman Garden Club August 5, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Present: Megan Baldeshwiler, Lorraine Brochu, Andrew Bullen, Arlene Echols, Anna Fillmore, Susan James, Brent LaRowe, Melinda Moore, Debbie Newman, Harriet Watson, Norma Zarris<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Brent LaRowe called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Motion to approve the minutes as read. m\/s\/p (AB\/MB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Treasurer report (DN): Final fiscal report for Garden Walk: $2,280.07 profit (vs. $1,639.74 profit in 2025) plus approx.. $1118 in-kind donations. Debbie has been reimbursed for her expenses now that checks have arrived. Our membership is at 62.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Garden Club Conservancy tour: 7 members went and had a great time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ball Seed tour: Andy will check on available dates for the week of August 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussion: We decided not to have a table at IDNR\u2019s Wildwood Party on 8\/29. Lorraine suggested we consider a table at the next Pullman Railroad Days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussion: Lorraine suggested we consider a visit to one of the nearby tallgrass prairies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussion: We decided not to participate in the Labor Day Parade on the East Side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fall planning: 1. For clover-overseeding at Gateway, we\u2019ll wait to consult with Mike McMahon. 2. Work days have been effective. 3. Motion to move our September meeting to Norma\u2019s garage at 6 p.m. to inventory, label, and edit tool collection<\/strong>. m\/s\/p (AB\/MM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n Google Workspace (BL): tabled for near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Brent noted that he will be away for Sept, Oct, and Nov. meetings as he has a class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To Plan: 1. Dec. holiday party. 2. Winter lecture series (some ideas: pruning roses (Anna knows a CPD rose gardener), plants to heal the earth, tallgrass prairies 3.
